As Americans continued to reel from our financial crisis yesterday, WAMU’s free checking went belly up. The Helter Skelter week continued with John McCain “suspending” his campaign, as he rushed back to Washington to put out the fire on our “Nightmare on Wall Street.” He demanded Obama cancel the debate, made a big hoopla, and basically accomplished nothing.

His running mate Sarah Palin, didn’t have such a good day herself. She appeared in a two part interview with Katie Couric and the reviews are in. Media can be brutal and it doesn’t look pretty. It was embarrassing, this was the BEST Republican running mate he could find ? If I was Mitt Romney, I would be pissed. I felt like I was watching the movie Fargo when she was talking. No Oscar for Ms. Palin.

The highlight of the week was SNL’s skit on the Sarah Palin interview. Tina Fey was brilliant as always, and it was absolutely hilarious. Here is the video clip:
