Saturday was a very sad day for many. As reported, Travis Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) were in a tragic
plane crash in South Carolina. Four people were killed in the plane crash, including Travis Barker’s personal assistant Chris Baker, and bodyguard Chris Still.
Travis Barker and DJ AM, have been listed in stable but critical condition in a Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia. Travis Barker’s ex wife Shanna Moakler, flew out yesterday morning to be with her ex husband. It was reported that a terrified DJ AM called his mother from the ambulance before losing consciousness. It is reported that DJ AM, is in a doctor induced coma, and has been burned over 50% of his body. Travis Barker has suffered several broken bones and is burned from the waist down.
According to the LA Times:
The two passengers who died, Still and Baker, worked for rock star Barker. Still, nicknamed Che, was a longtime friend of Barker and sometimes worked as a bodyguard when the drummer performed in small shows. Baker, nicknamed Lil’ Chris, worked as a personal assistant to Barker and had appeared occasionally on MTV’s “Meet the Barkers,” the domestic-life reality show that followed the drummer, his wife and their children in 2005 and early 2006.
The 6-foot-5 Still, described by one friend as “a gentle giant,” was a star football player at Centennial High School in Corona. He attended San Jose State before leaving his studies for two years when his father died.
Still was an imposing figure but also a doting son, who had taken his mother, Thelma Still, out to dinner last month for his late father’s birthday. Still called before the plane took off to let her know he was flying home, his mother said.
“He was just loved and we walked and we would hold hands and we would do all the things,” she said. “We were going to the fair this weekend.”
The hospital is expected to make an early morning announcement on the medical conditions of Barker and DJ AM. Prayers and thoughts go out to the families.

This is such a tragedy…I met “Lil Chris” Baker through my sister Terry. Chris lived across the street from her house in Fontana, Ca. before moving out to Studio City and working with Travis. He was the nicest person anyone could ever meet. From the moment I met him, I liked him. He was always there for my sister and her 3 adopted boys. Since my sister was a single mom, Chris was like the “big brother” always lecturing and mentoring the boys. My sister is devasted and so are her boys. They would so much like to attend his services; so if anyone knows when and where, we would appreciate the info. I also would like to send my condolences to his wife and child, as well as his mother and rest of his family and friends.
