Yes, Sarah Palin is finally campaigning on her own, but she’s definitely sticking to the script. All the major media outlets
have their panties in a knot over the fact that Palin won’t talk. They have even started calling her “The Bridge to No Comment.”
Her impact on the Presidential race is undeniable and overwhelmingly large. On the same note, voters are starting to ask tough questions, but her lips are zipped. Is it possible she’s waiting for the big debate? How will she saddle up next to Biden? He of course lacks the charm that Palin has, but at the same time, I think he will run circles around her in a debate.
In today’s news, McCain’s camp had the audacity to call the recent SNL skit with Tina Fey, PLEASE! Where’s your sense of humor, does that mean the portrayal of Clinton was sexist? Or Bush, etc. etc.?
According to MSNBC:
“The portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial,” McCain advisor Carly Fiorina told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Monday. “I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes I would say sexist.”
The Fey/Poehler sketch satirized such topics as Palin’s religious beliefs and foreign policy. “Just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance. She has a lot of substance,” Fiorina said.
Palin, on the other hand, found the sketch amusing, according to her spokesperson. The governor and the press corps watched the sketch in the back of her plane, laughing at Tina and Amy’s satirical take on the two politicians.
As the campaign continues to heat up, the big issue facing both candidates is, how to deal with the financial crisis Bush has left us with. Not over some silly SNL skit, or if pigs wear lipstick. We’re in a war we can’t afford and Wall Street has fallen flat on its ass. Which candidate is going to fix this mess? In recent polls, both candidates are neck and neck at 45% each. We still have 10% of the voters who are undecided. Focus on the issues!
On the bridge to no comment, Sarah Palin will cross it on 9/26 for her first debate against Biden.
