JOHN MCCAIN - Picks Right Winger Sarah Palin As His Running Mate!

Wow, I did not see this one coming. John McCain has picked Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, as his running mate. She’s a gunpalin.jpg toting, anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion, anti-environment right winger, and ex beauty queen. I shudder to think she could actually become our President, if McCain was elected. Jeez, it’s like picking Ann Coulter as your running mate. BARF!

Obviously, this is a PURE strategy move on his part. Trying to snatch Hillary supporters away from Obama. The press is going to have a field day with Palin. Also, activists will really have something to protest now. On Huffington Post, readers are scoffing at his choice. Many do not believe she’ll get the nomination.

What does Palin’s astrological profile show? Sarah Palin was born on February 11, 1964. She has a grand stellium, with four planets in Aquarius. It makes her quite the extremist.

She has Sun in Aquarius and she doesn’t give a damn what others think about her. She’s smart, pushy, and loves a good debate. She has Moon in Aquarius which makes her cool under pressure and incredibly stubborn. Mercury in Aquarius makes her opinionated and not a good listener. It’s her way, or the highway. (Watch out McCain, it’s like having a super bitchy wife). Venus in Aries, makes her a passionate woman, one who hates to be tied down. She definitely wears the pants in the family. Her Mars in Aquarius makes her set high goals for herself and others.

What do I think? I think America’s going to hate her. She has way too many Aquarius planets, the US has Sun in Cancer, and Palin just does not give off that warm fuzzy vibe. The skeletons will come flying out of the closet soon. But will McCain win? It’s going to be a close call but I say no way Jose.

It’s so important that you vote. We need change in this country, we need Obama as President.

  1. I found your site on Google and read a few of your other entires. Nice Stuff. I’m looking forward to reading more from you.

  2. Great post! She’s frighteningly unqualified. It’s an insult to women (from McCain) who think women are so dumb that they’ll pull the lever for a former beauty queen just because she’s a girl! It’s ridiculous. I agree with you - America will hate her - I can tell already, she’s grating. Also - just had a baby and has 5 kids. Anyone who has 5 kids knows how much work that is - being governer (for a year only!) and now this - and being a mom to 5 kids? IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY. I’m sure she loves her kids, but she is not raising them in the daily moments that count. It will be interesting to see conservative, anti-abortion, gun toting, born-again christians embrace an ambitious, absentee mother.

  3. PS to my above post… I love your site. I’d love to hear more about why you think the election will be close…

  4. I just stopped by your blog and thought I would say hello. I like your site design. Looking forward to reading more down the road.

  5. Tsk, tsk. You are allowing your political opinions to influence your astrological analysis. That’s kind of funny, to say that the Huffington Post is scoffing at the choice. THAT collection of ObaNazis would scoff at WHOEVER McCain picked!

I’m a lifelong Democrat. I’ve voted Dem in every election except 1980, since Carter is a moron. I doubt that I’ll vote for Obama. He’s an inexperienced, arrogant fool. If he had any “judgement”, he would have run as Hillary’s VP and learned something from Bill. But he’s a stupid Leo who thinks that he’s God, and has nothing to learn from Bill and Hillary. What a fool.

His moon in Gemini explains his schizoid personality. He says one thing and does another.

But I say “Hooray for Sarah!”

  6. Stephanie, I TOTALLY agree with you on everything. My first thought was, she has FIVE KIDS???? That in itself is a full time job. As a VP candidate and VP she will be an absentee mom. How can the Christian right support that?

p.s. I just found this site and love your commentary Astrochicks!

  7. No liberal bias here, eh???

With any and all due respect, I have to disagree that we won’t like her Aquarian nature. With our nation’s natal moon (representing “the people”) in Aquarius, we’ll love her fierce independence and quirky spirit! Obama’s Gemini moon makes a nice trine to our Aquarian moon, but the attraction was just a fad subject to fickleness and destined to fade.

Astrologers aren’t having an easy time of it these days, what with Uranus (which rules astrology) making it’s way through the delusions and confusion of Pisces. And, of course, the mutual reception of Neptune in Aquarius - home of Uranus and astrologers - further confounds the astrological community.

But don’t let me burst anyone’s rose-colored bubble. Time and reality will do that soon enough.

  8. I just love the liberal view of the world…”She’s a gun-toting, anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion, anti-environment right winger, and ex beauty queen.”
Hmmm, I much prefer the following delineation of our future VP:

“She’s a Second Amendment supporting, pro family, pro life, pro getting-our-own-oil-so-we’re-not-dependent-on-fanatical-Islamist-nations-who-hate-us conservative, and she’s probably better looking at 44 that you will ever were at 20 or 30.”

I agree: the race will be close, and Obama bin Biden will lose, thank God for that. If you want a socialist country, move the hell to Europe!

  9. Yes, and you must be Republican. Obama bin Biden? Are you saying they’re Osama Bin Laden? Give me a break.

We’ve had 8 years of Republicans in the White House and look at the mess we’re in.

When children are gunning down students in classrooms, people are losing their jobs, and the foster care system is overwhelmed by unwanted children…it’s time for a reality check.

Sarah Palin is not and never will be the second coming of God for this country.

  10. Kirsten thinks that drilling for oil will end our dependence on foreign oil. Her post also suggests she thinks Obama is a secret Muslim.

I prefer this definition of her:
    Pro-ignorance, pro-deficit, Pro-bible thumping, tell-people-that-disagree-with-my-right-winger-views-to-go-to-europe, clueless person

  11. The fact that you let politics influence your analysis of a natal chart guatantees that serious astrologers will avoid your work, your writings, and your biased judgments.

  12. Serious astrologers will ignore biased judgments, like claims that politics and astrology don’t mix.

  13. Agree with Jack W.

Obama is a dreamer-saleman with a humungous ego (Leo). If he had real executive ability and political skills, he’d have made Hillary his running mate at the very least. Picking Biden shows he can’t accept Hillary because she could very well steal the show from him. The President of the United States must be both a visionary and a pragmatic leader who can solve problems; he’s also the leader of the free world, not just the US of A. The shoes are too big for Obama.

  14. And eight years of mess is not the right reason to vote in Obama. It might well be leaping from the frying pan into the fire. Everyone wants change. What’s crucial is that such change come in the right hands. Sure, Bush made mistakes, but Obama is going to have to go through the entire learning curve again. America cannot afford to send a trainee into a dogfight, she needs a pair of weathered but steady hands to win the battle.

  15. leave the analogies to us, the liberal elite:

The fire heats the frying pan.
Bush/McSame is the pan, and the voters have been the fire for the last eight years. You’re suggesting we get a new flame under the same pan?

I say we need to change the pan.

No lipstick can make me wanna f&5k the pig that are Bush / McSame’s policies, not even that milf Palin.

Those on this board worrying about experience, seem to be curiously unconcerned about melanoma being lethal on a 72 year old, putting the church pittbull in charge.

Obama is America’s only hope for an approach different from a dog in a fight. This is not the UFC, and it’s a little more complicated than shallow patriotic rhetoric.

  16. Sarah Palin the funhouse image of Barack Obama. They have several key points highlighted in their charts right now. His asc is at 18 Aquarius - hers at 19 Leo. Both are under the Chiron-Neptune transit right now. She has planets at 1 degree Aquarius and Aries - Obama has lots of 1 degree planets (energized by Pluto just now entering Capricorn). McCain has leveled the playing by choosing this woman, b/c right now, she has the star quality to compete with Obama.

Will McCain/Palin win? My guess is no (Palin has no aspects to her MC on inauguration day, while Joe Biden has wonderful aspects for that date)), but that it will be close. In fact, this yr, we might see the karmic reaction to the 2000 election, where McCain wins the popular vote while Obama wins the electoral college.

Another thing Palin shares with Obama - 7th house Sun square Neptune. Remember Rev. Wright, Tony Rezco, and Wm. Ayers? Palin’s scandals are just beginning - talk about an October surprise! Obama fell to Earth last March/April and survived the storm. Palin hasn’t had her reckoning period yet. The press has tried to criticize her, but she’s been pretty well insulated so far. Wait ’til the press turns on her the way they did on Obama.

  17. I don’t need to see Palin’s chart to see that she’s INSANE!

But yeah, I do know lots of American mothers like her — bored by their children, anxious to get out of the house, and GREEDY.

    So, they’ll probably win.

  18. You are letting your liberal bias affect your astrological interpretation, which isn’t professional at all.

To all of the people who think Obama should’ve picked Hilary as VP: that would’ve been the dumbest mistake ever! Yes, initially choosing Hilary would help him win easily, but she would destroy him in office. She is not the type who takes orders; she gives them! Obama is at least smart enough to not trust Hilary….I’ve got to give him credit for that.

  19. Alessandra, not sure if you were addressing me or not, but I am not letting any kind of bias color my astrological interpretion.

I agree with you that Clinton would have been a bad VP choice for Obama, and in fact, an Obama/Clinton ticket was slated to lose in November. Here’s why I believe that is so: Every major party presidential nominee who lost was nominated under a void-of-course (VOC) Moon, which means the Moon was not going to make any more major aspects before moving to a new sign. Due to the scheduling of the Republican convention, there was NO chance that McCain would take his nomination under a VOC Moon - none at all.

The Democratic nominee was supposed to take his nomination under a VOC Moon. The reason it did not happen is that Obama pushed the roll call to the afternoon, rather than having it done during prime time, to avoid any potential friction with Clinton’s supporters. It worked out that Obama was declared the nominee by acclamation on Aug. 27 an hour or so before the Moon went VOC. He formally accepted his nomination the following day after the Moon had entered Leo, which is his Sun sign btw.

Had it been Obama/Clinton, I think the roll call would have come during prime time as usual. Had it been Clinton/Obama, I believe the same thing. It was only on the frequency on which Obama did NOT choose Clinton did he give himself a chance to win.

  20. From an astrological perspective, it looks like Obama will win. I think McCain’s ultimate downfall was picking Sarah Palin. Initially she gave him a nice bump. On the flip side, she has way too many skeletons in the closet, and her “down home” style doesn’t play well to the masses. She has several Aquarius planets, very independent, smart, but super erratic. You might be able to do that in Alaska, but for us big city folk, it’s a little scary.

Yes, maybe I am bias. I think McCain is a good man, down to earth Virgo. I just don’t think he should be leading our country. He’s to old, stubborn, and disconnected from the real world.

On Hillary, I think she’s a saint compared to Sarah Palin. Hillary’s a Scorpio, at least you know where you stand with her. I admire her, she’s tough, and I think deep down she really does care.

    My two cents. :)

  21. Hi astroguy. I was replying to the article posted by Astrochicks, so I wasn’t saying that your interpretation was biased towards liberals. Anyway, astrology aside, I have a strong feeling that Obama will win.

  22. People don’t WIN anything when they are 72! They are at the “end of their lives”, not in the middle of it. McCain’s “maverick” day’s are behind him…his “day in the sun”, has come and gone, and it is now time for a young bright, articulate Obama to have “his turn” and shine. He will surround himself with bright capable people (as he did selecting Biden). This will be the perfect choice for REAL CHANGE to finally occur in Washington, because Obama is CHANGE. McCain is too old, and has no forward thinking idea’s, plus, he surrounds himself with other “old outdated” people who like himself, do not even know how to use a computer, or figure out email. Older people are suppose to be “elders” who younger people go to occasionally to hear their “stories” (and McCain has lots of “old war stories”) In fact, if you really listen to him, all he ever talks about is what he USE TO DO, and HOW THINGS USE TO BE…well, “use to be’s” don’t count anymore…it is time for new idea’s, lots of energy, a strong steady temperment, a brilliant mind, and the abiiity to rally people of all walks of life behind you type of person…..and OBAMA fortunately is all of that.

Already France is behind him 90%, and other countries are following suit with strong support. He will reset our “place in the world”, in a very positive way, with the new way he will run our country. In many way’s, it is an exciting time to be alive and see just what he can and will do!
Astrologically, his chart verifies all that I have said, and I have been an Astrologer for 25 years!

  23. Thanks Lin for the insight. I really enjoy other astrologers adding their point of view to the site. It’s nice to provide our readers different perspectives. I totally agree with your post.
