Next week, Bravo’s new show, Date My Ex will air next week. Why is Bravo so taken with Jo? What happened to her “budding” singing career? She’s a cute girl, but in LA these chicks are a dime a dozen. Slade is definitely a hottie but you can find a million Slade clones in the OC, cruising in their Jaguar on a daily basis.
“Date My Ex: Jo & Slade” premieres on July 21 on Bravo. The show centers around Jo’s search for love and success as she leaves Orange County behind to pursue a recording career in LA, but not without her ex-fiance. After Jo’s friends set her up on dates, potential suitors must move in with Slade so he can select who is most worthy of dating his ex. The catch, is Slade is actually her business manager and they’ve to put up with him as well.
Personally, I think they’re still dating, or will at least get back together. This is a marketing ploy to create buzz around her new album and for Slade’s acting career. Maybe Jo will become like Brett Michaels and we will see, Date My Ex Two, it will be Slade’s turn to get fixed up. I much prefer Rock of Love or The Bachelorette. Seems more fun.
We won’t be seeing them on the “Real Housewives of Orange County” either. Season 4 began taping in the summer of 2008. Knickerbocker and Fry will not be returning and their replacements have not been announced. BravoTV also announced that they are developing two other spin-offs called, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” with the latter set to premiere on July 30, 2008. YAWN!
My astrological prediction is Slade’s career will take off and I expect Jo’s to stall. If that happens, I’m sure she will finally accept his marriage proposal, and finally marry the guy. Next show, Marry My Ex.
