Who doesn’t love Gossip Girl and super fab writer, Cicely von Ziegesar? That girl is raking in the dough with her hit book series and hugely successful TV show. Now, according to Hollywood Reporter, the producers of the CW’s hit teen drama are contemplating a spinoff series that revolves around a girls boarding school.

Loosely based on The It Girl books by Cicely von Ziegesar, who also wrote the original Gossip Girl teen book series, the spinoff would follow the social misadventures of a popularity-hungry teen who enters the Waverly Academy boarding school.

What makes Cicely such an amazing writer?  Cecily was born to an affluent family on June 27, 1970. She lived in Connecticut where her parents marriage was falling apart, but “grew up” in Manhattan. She attended and graduated from The Nightingale-Bamford School, a prestigious all-girls private school on the exclusive Upper East Side. She got her first big break at Alloy Entertainment and the Gossip Girl book series was born.

Cicely has Sun in loving Cancer, Moon in fiery Aries, and Mercury in curious Gemini. Her chart shows an emotional conflict between her mother and father, amazing writing talent, and her attention loving Venus in Leo pushed her towards the limelight. She put her painful emotions to good use and spun out one of the most popular book franchises on the market.

In the next two years, she will have Saturn in Virgo squaring her Mercury in Gemini. This reflects frustration with writing, or possibly being frustrated with the new spin-off television show. Avid fans have complained that the television series does not really reflect Gossip Girl book series. Either way, our girl Cicely is laughing all the way to the bank.
