AMERICAN IDOL – David Cook Engaged to be Married!

david1.jpgAmerican Idol winner David Cook is on tour now with the other finalists. The tour officially kicks off on July 1st, in Glendale, Arizona. What is the scoop on his hot romance with Kimberly Caldwell? Has it cooled off?

Cook won the seventh season of American Idol on May 21, 2008, receiving 56% of the votes with David Archuleta as the runner-up. Cook then sang “The Time of My Life“, the winning song of the 2008 American Idol Songwriter’s Competition.

During the finale, Cook appeared in a commercial for the game franchise Guitar Hero, mimicking Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Fellow finalist David Archuleta appeared in a separate commercial parodying the same scene. Both commercials were directed by Brett Ratner.

On his love life, the gossip blogs have been very quiet. My astrological prediction is that it won’t be anything to serious. I see a potential engagement in 2010 and marriage for him by 2011.

Stay tuned, auditions for the eighth season of American Idol begin Thursday, July 17, at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA, and it will continue on to seven other cities.

  1. I still believe Carrie Prejean should have won the Miss USA 2009, and not Kirsten Dalton.
