Merle Haggard was in and out of prison until he was in his late teens. He turned his life around and has become one of the true giants of country music, as a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist.

In the 60s, Michelle Phillips was once one of the singers for the Mama’s and the Papa’s. She married Dennis Hopper on October 31, 1970 but filed for divorce just a week later. Michelle was good friends with Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring and Wojciech Frykowski, who were killed by members of Charles Manson’s cult on August 9, 1969. In 1968 they had a child together, Chynna Phillips, who went on to co-found the singing group Wilson Phillips.

Marilu Henner, a popular actress in the TV show Taxi, had wild affairs with John Travolta, Judd Hirsch, and Tony Danza. She wrote about it in her autobiography, By All Means, Keep on Moving. Henner was a contestant on the NBC show The Celebrity Apprentice. She was fired by Donald Trump in the 8th episode, but was brought back to help fellow contestant Trace Adkins in the final task of the show.
