Patrick Dempsey has signed up as the face of a new men’s fragrance for beauty giant Avon. The Grey’s Anatomy star will front the as-yet-unnamed scent, which is set to be launched globally next year, in a deal reported to be worth GBP2.5 million over three years.

Patrick was born on January 13, 1966, Dempsey, an Irish American, was born in Lewiston, Maine. Dempsey has been married twice. From 1987 to 1994, he was married to actress and acting coach Rochelle “Rocky” Parker, who appeared with Dempsey in the film In the Mood. At the time of their marriage, Dempsey was 21 years old, while Parker was 48 (very weird, check out the link to her picture, she looks like his grandma), with a son, Corey Parker, who was one year Dempsey’s senior.

Dempsey remarried on July 31, 1999; his second wife is noted make-up artist and founder of Delux Beauty, Jillian Fink Dempsey. The couple have three children: a daughter, Tallulah Fyfe, born in February 20, 2002, and twin boys Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick, born on February 1, 2007.

Dempsey has Sun in stubborn Capricorn, Moon in charming Libra, and Venus in independent Aquarius. The next five years is a period of huge success in his career and personal life. He feels loved, confident, and open to what the universe has to offer. I see in 2010, he will hit an emotional rough spot, possibly feeling overwhelmed, and will need to take a break from the limelight possibly due to issues with his mother.

In 1997, Dempsey’s mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was treated for the disease and has had two relapses since then.
