CELEB COUPLES - Madonna and Guy Ritchie

madonna.jpgMadonna and Guy Ritchie ’s love affair has been going strong for nearly a decade. It appears that they have hit a rough spot and are reportedly seeking marriage counseling. Rumors as to the cause of their marital problems have been swirling, some say the publicity surrounding baby David’s adoption (or Madge’s desire to adopt another baby), caused the strain, while others point to Madonna’s obsession with Kaballah. It is a combination of many reasons.

Every marriage, no matter how strong, hits a few speed bumps along the way. From an Astrological perspective, Saturn can be a real bummer. Madonna has Sun in Leo, Virgo Rising, and Moon in Virgo. Her hubby Guy is a Virgo, Moon in Taurus, Venus and Mercury in Libra. Saturn transited her Twelfth House in 2007, which is her subconscious mind. Madonna has cleaned house and has entered a period in her life where she wants to focus on her children and give back to the world. I expect her to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie in donating her time to charity.

Ritchie is coming into his own and he will continue to focus on writing and directing. I see him entering the spotlight in late 2008 and Madonna will take a backseat. Right now, he seeks more harmony and balance in his life. He is incredibly mellow, witty, charming, and a super funny guy. It may be that the extroverted and wild Madonna is what originally attracted him to the relationship. The older and wiser and Madonna may be a bit to serious for his taste. He can’t handle her constant need to criticize.

Either way they both have an incredible emotional bond and a deep love for one another. If the couple is to split, my prediction is that it would happen when Madonna turns 50 and he turns 40. Both defining ages for men and women. I think if they stay together for the children they can weather the storm and be life partners.
